Chatburn C of E Primary School

About Us

A VILLAGE SCHOOL

Chatburn School was founded over 180 years ago and so has a long-standing history and high record of achievement. It is, above all, a village school serving the people of Chatburn and surrounding communities.

The school has accommodation for approximately 100 pupils, making it small enough to be friendly but large enough to offer a varied and full education from our highly experienced staff.

The school moved to its present site in 1960’s and has five classrooms, cloakrooms, toilets etc. The surroundings include an extensive tarmac playground and a grassed area. The school also has use of the adjoining playing field. There is a large, well equipped hall which is used for P.E. lessons, worship, musical activities and school meals.
